Conference venue

The international conference "Entre-deux et Nouvelle Brachylogie: convergences et divergences de deux concepts" will take place on 17 and 18 May 2018 at the Palazzo Pacanowski, Università degli Studi di Napoli "Parthenope", Via Generale Parisi 13 - Naples (Room T3 and Room B2; for more details, see the Program section).

The social dinners of the conference will take place (17 and 18 May, at 20:00) at Trattoria Medina (Via Medina, 32 - Naples).

Palazzo Reale (17th century)

The Royal Palace of Naples is one of the four royal residences used by the Bourbons during the Kingdom of the TwoSicilies. It encloses the symmetry of the monumental Piazza del Plebiscito, facing the neoclassical façade of the Basilica of San Francesco di Paola.

Basilica di San Francesco di Paola (19th century)

The Basilica of San Francesco di Paola is a church in Naples, dedicated to Francis of Paola, located on the west side of Piazza del Plebiscito, the main square of the city. It's a neoclassical basilica.

Palazzo Zevallos (17th century)

The Zevallos Palace (or Colonna di Stigliano Palace) is located in Naples in the historic district of San Ferdinando. It includes an exhibition gallery that traces the history of the building, and presents to the public works by Milanese artists as well as a canvas by van Wittel and the Martyrdom of Saint Ursulade Caravaggio. The palace is the former Neapolitan branch of Banca Commerciale Italiana.

Teatro San Carlo (18th century)

The Teatro di San Carlo, built on 4th November 1737, is the opera house of Naples. It is one of the most famous in the world and one of the oldest remaining opera theatres in Europe, after the Teatro Malibran in Venice and the Manoel Theatre in Valletta. It can accommodate 1386 spectators and has six floors of horseshoe boxes, a large royal box and a parterre.
